SAT navs are destroying Brits’ knowledge of UK roads and destinations.
Just a handful of drivers can place major cities on a map – and many don’t even know the name of the street they’re on.
Only one in ten could correctly identify the roads they commute to work on a daily basis.
And just 14 per cent of motorists were able to correctly place 10 UK cities on a map.
An over-reliance of sat navs also means Brits are wildly over and underestimating how long it would take to drive between key locations.
The study was conducted by dealer Peter Vardy and revealed 85 per cent of under 30s now use a sat nav and would be lost without it.
